Eon.io seeks an experienced, business-oriented attorney with 8+ years of legal experience to serve as primary legal advisor supporting the company's U.S. commercial operations and expanding growth initiatives. This role is ideal for a pragmatic, solutions-focused lawyer who thrives in fast-paced technology environments and enjoys partnering closely with business leaders.
Key responsibilities include serving as trusted advisor to Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership teams. You will lead drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements including enterprise customer contracts, partner agreements, reseller arrangements, vendor contracts, and SaaS agreements. You'll partner closely with Sales and Revenue leadership to structure, negotiate, and close strategic enterprise transactions while advising business stakeholders on legal and commercial risks with practical, business-focused guidance.
Additional responsibilities include supporting strategic partnerships and channel programs, developing and improving contract templates and negotiation playbooks, and creating scalable legal processes. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Security, Product, and Compliance teams to support business objectives and customer requirements.
Required qualifications include a J.D. degree and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar. You must have 8+ years of legal experience with significant commercial contracting and transaction experience, preferably at a leading law firm and/or in-house at a SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, or technology company. Strong expertise negotiating enterprise SaaS, technology, and strategic commercial agreements is essential, along with proven ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and support revenue-generating initiatives. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are required, as is the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
