Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced AI and autonomy, seeks an experienced Employment Counsel to join its growing Legal Department. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel - Employment, you will serve as a strategic partner to the People Team and cross-functional stakeholders, providing expert legal guidance on a comprehensive range of employment matters.
Key responsibilities include advising on recruiting, hiring, termination, employee relations, wage and hour compliance, workplace accommodations, benefits, compensation, and immigration issues. You will partner with the People Team on day-to-day matters including misconduct investigations, performance management, and conflict-of-interest resolution. You'll support company-wide employment law compliance initiatives through workplace audits and classification reviews, and draft or review global employment policies and agreements (offer letters, contractor agreements, vendor agreements) for both domestic and international contexts.
Additional duties encompass maintaining self-service HR tools and training materials, facilitating collection of mandated employment reports (EEO-1, California Pay Data, OFCCP), evaluating HR platforms for compliance and user experience, assisting with agency investigations and employment-related claims, and providing tactical support to outside counsel on employment litigation while ensuring alignment with broader legal strategy.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of employment law experience at a leading law firm or large multinational company, deep knowledge of state and federal employment laws, significant HR advisory experience, strong judgment and initiative for end-to-end project ownership, excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You must be a U.S. Person (export control requirement), licensed to practice law in California, Georgia, or Ohio, and willing to work daily in-office with 15% travel to other Anduril offices domestically and internationally.
