Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced AI and autonomy, seeks an experienced Employment Counsel to join its growing Legal Department. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel for Employment, you will serve as a strategic partner to the People Team and internal stakeholders, providing expert legal guidance on a comprehensive range of employment matters.
Key responsibilities include advising on recruiting, hiring, termination, employee relations, wage and hour compliance, workplace accommodations, benefits, compensation, and immigration issues. You will partner with the People Team on day-to-day matters including misconduct investigations, performance management, and conflict-of-interest resolution. You'll support cross-functional projects to enhance company-wide employment law compliance through workplace audits and classification reviews.
You will draft, review, and maintain global employment policies and standard operating procedures, prepare and revise employment agreements (domestic and international), including offer letters and contractor agreements. Additional duties include maintaining self-service tools and training materials, facilitating collection of state and federally-mandated employment reports (EEO-1, California Pay Data, OFCCP), and reviewing HR platforms for compliance and employee experience enhancements.
You will assist in investigations and respond to inquiries from state or federal agencies regarding employment claims, provide tactical support to outside counsel on employment litigation, and manage risk through effective coordination with specialized counsel.
Required: 5+ years of employment law experience at a leading law firm or large multi-national company; deep knowledge of state and federal employment laws; significant HR advisory experience; ability to own multiple projects end-to-end; strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent writing ability for internal documents; strong problem-solving skills; U.S. Person status (required for export-controlled information access); licensed to practice law in CA, GA, or OH; willing and able to meet daily in-office requirement; willing to travel 15% to other Anduril offices (domestic and international).
Preferred: combination of law firm and in-house experience; experience supporting international workforce and global mobility; experience with workplace safety regulations.
