The Legal Counsel (Corporate Governance) role is based in Colombia and focuses on ensuring organizational compliance with local and group-wide regulations while supporting the board and management bodies. This is an autonomous, expert-level position reporting to the legal leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing governance support to supervisory and management bodies and their committees
- Preparing board meeting agendas, packs, minutes, and tracking action items
- Communicating at the executive level to ensure strong local governance and cross-group alignment
- Arranging execution of corporate documents (shareholder resolutions, KYC documents, extracts, applications)
- Ensuring local management and supervisory bodies comply with relevant legislation and regulations
- Maintaining statutory registers, files, and company filings with regulatory authorities
- Delivering governance improvement initiatives and roadmaps
- Representing Revolut in Colombia with legal registers, notaries, and public institutions
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law with valid professional license
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant legal role
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, company law, and conflict of interest management
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to lead board and committee arrangements and draft clear minutes
- In-depth knowledge of Colombian Commercial Code and local Superintendence regulations
- Ability to own legal entity compliance with minimal support
- Strong client delivery focus, resilience, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Nice-to-have experience includes financial services or technology background, and prior experience managing legal entities in Colombia.
