Omnea is a Series B AI-native procurement platform backed by Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel that has raised $75M. The company has 10x'd ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months and is trusted by global enterprises including Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons. Omnea solves enterprise procurement inefficiency—where single purchases can drag on for months and involve 50+ emails across Finance, Legal, Security, and IT.
You will be Omnea's first lawyer on the ground in the US, reporting to the Head of Legal in London and serving as the primary legal partner to the US Go-To-Market team. This is a broad, autonomous role with real ownership across commercial, corporate, and compliance work as the company scales in the US market.
Key responsibilities include: reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements (MSAs, SLAs, DPAs) with enterprise clients; owning US data privacy matters including state and international privacy law compliance and cross-border data transfer issues; managing high-volume enterprise contract workflows and providing triage to sales teams; developing playbooks and fallback positions for common negotiation scenarios; partnering with product, engineering, and security teams on legal and compliance implications of new features, particularly around data handling, AI capabilities, and user privacy; conducting legal reviews on product releases; supporting product teams in developing compliance documentation and AI policies; and supporting corporate and strategic projects including fundraising and international expansion.
You must be a licensed attorney admitted to practice in any US state with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a practicing attorney. Strong training from a top law firm or relevant in-house experience is required. You need proven expertise negotiating and closing complex, high-volume SaaS agreements with enterprise clients, with the ability to own customer relationships and deal strategy independently. Demonstrable experience with international compliance frameworks (GDPR, SCCs, DPAs) and cross-border data transfer issues is essential. You thrive in fast-moving environments, manage competing priorities at scale, and are comfortable operating with incomplete information. You're genuinely interested in how AI and legal tech can transform legal work, contract automation, and legal ops efficiency. Your judgment is relied upon for both legal matters and commercial strategy, and you communicate complex issues clearly to leadership and customers while adapting your style to different audiences.
