We seek a Legal Associate to join Clara's Legal team in Bogotá, Colombia. This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone early in their legal career looking to grow within a mission-driven fintech company. You will play a key role in ensuring Clara's local operations remain compliant, well-documented, and legally sound.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, NDAs, and corporate documentation
- Providing legal support across internal teams, especially Sales, Finance, and Operations
- Supporting Clara's compliance with Colombian regulations, particularly data protection and AML frameworks
- Managing communications and deadlines with regulatory bodies, including the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, with support from senior counsel
- Assisting in responses to administrative requests, legal notifications, and pre-litigation matters
- Maintaining up-to-date legal files and records across tools like Google Drive and Slack
- Collaborating with the global Legal team to align on standards and policies across Latin America
You will work closely with Clara's Legal Lead and global teams on operational legal work that supports business goals while reducing risks.
