Clio is seeking a Legal Architect to join its North American Sales team. This role bridges legal expertise and technology, targeting mid-market law firms adopting AI-powered legal solutions. You will act as a strategic advisor, partnering with Account Executives to lead discovery sessions with mid-sized law firms, uncovering business goals and operational pain points. You'll design and deliver tailored, live product demonstrations of the Clio platform that resonate with the practical day-to-day work of legal professionals. You will navigate technical, emotional, and ethical objections during presentations, leveraging your legal background to build rapport and trust with firm partners and associates. Key responsibilities include articulating Clio's AI vision and helping firms understand how to safely adopt automation for drafting, research, document analysis, and administrative efficiency. You'll design and run high-impact trials with strategic law firm accounts, defining desired outcomes, practice areas to focus on, and specific legal tasks that demonstrate real, scalable value. You'll convert complex attorney needs into workflows in Clio, demonstrating how the platform solves specific practice-area needs. You'll also act as a mentor to the broader Sales and Customer Success organization, leading internal training sessions to upskill peers on legal workflows across different practice areas and how to effectively position AI-driven solutions. You'll drive thought leadership, staying at the forefront of AI trends and legal technology innovation, representing Clio as a credible voice in the evolving landscape of legal AI. Required qualifications: JD or equivalent legal degree; 2+ years of legal practice experience at a US mid-sized law firm with first-hand understanding of firm economics, document lifecycles, and client communication nuances. You must have exceptional communication and presentation skills, high EQ, and the ability to command a room of senior legal stakeholders. You're naturally curious, enjoy deconstructing messy processes to build efficient, tech-driven solutions, and have familiarity with the legal stack including legal AI solutions, legal practice management, document automation, and legal research platforms. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and are passionate about legal tech transformation.
