Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, is seeking a Legal Architect to join the Sales team in New York City. This role is designed for strategic customer engagement, helping elite law firms and corporate legal departments maximize value from Clio's AI-powered solutions.
You will engage with legal professionals at top-tier firms and leading corporate legal departments to understand their workflows, challenges, and opportunities for AI-driven transformation. Your responsibilities include leading consultative discussions and tailored demonstrations of Clio's solutions, partnering with Account Executives to influence buying decisions, and guiding firms through their AI adoption journey.
Key activities include designing high-impact pilots of new technologies, defining success metrics and outcomes, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior partners and practice leads. You'll help customers navigate the cultural, behavioral, and process changes required for successful AI transformation—from initial pilot through full-scale rollout. Additionally, you'll collaborate with marketing to create content resonating with legal audiences, serve as the Voice of the Customer to product and sales teams, and stay informed about AI trends and legal technology innovations.
Ideal candidates hold a JD or equivalent legal qualification with at least 3 years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or in-house legal department, preferably in corporate, litigation, or high-complexity practice areas. You should demonstrate proven ability to engage and influence senior legal stakeholders, possess outstanding presentation and facilitation skills, and have a strong understanding of legal workflows and technology adoption dynamics. Experience in technology, consulting, or other client-facing roles is a strong plus. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a consultative, solutions-focused mindset and genuine curiosity about AI's transformative potential in legal work.
Clio offers a hybrid work environment (minimum twice per week in-office for local employees), competitive equitable salary, top-tier health benefits, flexible time off (20 days encouraged annually), EAP benefits, 401k matching, and recognition programs.
