Pax8, a global AI and cloud marketplace, is seeking a Lead Solutions Engineer - Security to serve as the regional security subject matter expert across Southeast Asia. This role bridges technical pre-sales engineering, vendor partnerships, and internal enablement, positioning you as a trusted advisor to partners, customers, and stakeholders throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Security Leadership: Act as the go-to security expert across Southeast Asia, driving technical excellence and consistency across multiple markets. Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, cloud security innovations, and industry developments. Build scalable frameworks, assets, and technical approaches that enable regional success.
Technical Pre-Sales Excellence: Support strategic, high-value opportunities requiring deep security expertise. Lead discovery workshops that uncover business challenges and security objectives. Deliver compelling demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept engagements. Design outcome-focused security solutions aligned with partner and customer goals.
Enablement & Community Building: Mentor and coach Solutions Engineers across the region. Develop training materials, demonstration environments, playbooks, and reusable content. Support onboarding and capability development. Partner with vendors to strengthen technical readiness and certification attainment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside sales leaders, vendor teams, marketing, and technical specialists. Contribute to regional initiatives that drive partner success. Share expertise across global technical communities and align local execution with regional and global objectives.
You'll be based onsite in the Kuala Lumpur office, collaborating closely with colleagues, vendors, and regional stakeholders. Your expertise will directly influence regional growth, technical capability, partner success, and security adoption across Southeast Asia.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, consulting, or related technology environments
- Strong expertise across cybersecurity, cloud technologies, infrastructure, Microsoft solutions, or adjacent security platforms
- Demonstrated success delivering workshops, technical presentations, demonstrations, and discovery engagements
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value and compelling narratives
- Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple functions without direct authority
- Collaborative mindset with passion for coaching and developing others
- Exposure to regional or multi-country environments
- Experience within channel, partner, or indirect sales ecosystems
- Microsoft Security, Azure, or equivalent vendor certifications highly valued
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Valid right to work in Malaysia required
