Salary: GBP 125,000 - 145,000 / annual

Monzo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Finance Infrastructure squad within the Payments Platform team. This role is critical to Monzo's mission to make money work for everyone by building the foundational financial systems that power the bank. You will own the product strategy and roadmap for Finance Infrastructure, working at the intersection of Payments, Finance, and Engineering. The squad builds the ledgers, data controls, reporting, reconciliation, and platform capabilities that enable Monzo to operate safely, scale efficiently, and expand into new markets. This is "boring but critical" infrastructure work—behind the scenes but business-critical. Key responsibilities include: - Defining product strategy and roadmap for Finance Infrastructure - Partnering with Engineering, Finance, and Payments leadership to understand system needs as Monzo scales - Transitioning the team from reactive delivery to a strategic, product-led approach - Translating complex finance, accounting, operational, and regulatory requirements into scalable platform capabilities - Prioritizing competing stakeholder needs while balancing urgent delivery with long-term system health - Building financial infrastructure that supports multiple products, entities, countries, currencies, and regulatory environments - Establishing trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Engineering, Product, and Operations Ideal candidates bring: - Strong senior PM experience owning complex technical, platform, infrastructure, or financial systems - Technical depth to partner credibly with engineers on systems, trade-offs, dependencies, and architecture - Genuine excitement about infrastructure, ledgers, reconciliation, financial data, controls, and backend systems - Ability to work with senior cross-functional stakeholders in ambiguous environments - Product discipline, technical curiosity, and systems thinking - High agency and ambition This is a hybrid role based in London, Cardiff, or remote within the UK.
