CLEAR is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of its identity and evidence verification platform, which powers both CLEAR Travel and CLEAR1 products. This role owns the strategy and roadmap for identity and evidence systems across consumer and enterprise surfaces, including mobile, web, airport, and partner integrations.
Key responsibilities include: leading the identity verification platform strategy across consumer (CLEAR+) and enterprise (CLEAR1) products; building reusable proofing, verification, and evidence services; expanding source verification to improve assurance and reduce costs; defining how identity is established versus continuously evaluated; driving alignment with NIST frameworks (IAL2/IAL3) while maintaining real-world flexibility; decoupling identity from individual products to enable reuse across multiple experiences; developing systems for evidence storage, re-use, and auditability; ensuring interoperability with emerging standards like mDoc/ISO 18013-7; optimizing cost per proofing through orchestration and vendor strategy; improving success rates and reducing false positives/negatives; building resiliency into critical identity services; treating data integrity and traceability as first-class requirements; building reporting, alerting, and audit tooling; ensuring proactive compliance with regulatory requirements; driving seamless interoperability across airport, mobile, web, and partner experiences; eliminating friction in enrollment, verification, account management, and recovery flows; enabling new identity-powered experiences; partnering cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, legal/compliance, and external partners; translating complex identity and regulatory requirements into clear product direction; serving as an internal domain expert on identity, proofing, and verification; and staying ahead of industry trends in fraud, deepfakes, and synthetic identity.
Required qualifications: 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in identity, fintech, security, or highly regulated environments; strong technical fluency across backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures; deep understanding of identity proofing, authentication, and fraud systems including document verification, biometrics, device intelligence, and data corroboration; familiarity with standards such as NIST 800-63 or equivalent assurance frameworks; exceptional analytical skills; proven ability to define and execute multi-quarter strategies across complex systems; strong grasp of cost structures and ability to drive efficiency improvements; relentless focus on measurement and clear metrics; ability to balance customer experience, security, compliance, and business goals; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; and high ownership mentality with urgency and accountability.
