The Lead Product Designer role is a versatile generalist position responsible for owning the end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery. You will deconstruct complex workflows into clear, scalable systems while designing across Coda's entire product landscape. The role emphasizes bringing consumer-grade aesthetic polish, typographic elegance, and spatial harmony to all work, elevating every touchpoint into a beautifully crafted experience.
Key responsibilities include integrating generative AI and code-assisted prototyping tools into daily craft, building interactive high-fidelity prototypes that validate concepts rapidly and bridge design and engineering. You will help shape and scale Coda's unified design language and design system, establishing reusable interaction patterns, tokenized components, and visual standards for consistency and aesthetic excellence across all product surfaces.
The role requires close partnership with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional leaders to shape product direction through tangible design vision. You will collaborate with fellow designers, raising the collective bar for visual taste, systems thinking, and AI-accelerated execution.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of proven working experience in Product Design or similar roles
- Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction patterns, and accessibility guidelines
- Strong portfolio with clear evidence of design thinking, interaction design, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and storytelling skills, especially in cross-functional environments
- Experience using AI tools in building high-fidelity prototypes
- Prior experience in Payments, E-commerce, Marketplace Supply, or Gaming platforms is a strong plus
