Atticus is a Series C social enterprise helping Americans access life-changing benefits. The People Operations Lead will own the backbone of the People function, managing benefits administration, HRIS systems, payroll, multi-state compliance through a PEO partner, people policies, and performance/merit cycles.
You'll be the day-to-day operational owner, managing vendors, ensuring compliance as the company scales, running clean cycles, and improving the employee experience at every touchpoint. You'll also contribute to strategic decisions: evaluating when and how to transition away from the current PEO, replacing the HRIS platform, and evolving policies and benefits. You'll bring data-driven analysis and recommendations that shape these decisions.
Reporting to Amy Yu (Head of People), you'll join a small, high-ownership team deeply committed to the company's mission. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to build systems and processes that directly impact how employees experience working at a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
The company is fully remote with quarterly travel to LA for in-person collaboration, offsites, and team gatherings (company-funded).
