Scan.com is building America's national imaging network, connecting patients, providers, and payers to faster, better-value diagnostic imaging. The company manages the medical imaging pathway end-to-end, from provider ordering through final report delivery. With over $200M in funding, profitability, and 100% year-on-year growth, Scan.com is scaling rapidly. The Lead, Imaging Operations and Quality role serves as the dedicated owner for imaging workflows across specialized case types, from image acquisition through report delivery. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines individual contributor work with team oversight and process ownership. Key Responsibilities: - Personally handle a meaningful share of core clinical operations work, including cross-referencing patient, imaging center, and radiologist information against customer data and radiology group communications - Own the quality bar for the entire team's output by building checks, spot-audits, and feedback loops to catch errors before they reach clients - Serve as the escalation point for imaging center and radiology group issues that fall outside standard playbooks - Build and maintain SOPs and training materials to enable scalability - Identify opportunities where AI and agentic workflows can absorb manual QC and data cross-referencing work - Work with sensitive patient data in compliance with HIPAA requirements and hold the team to the same standard The role requires deep understanding of operational nuances in case handling, the ability to bring clarity and structure to team workflows, and expertise that others can rely on as the company grows. Requirements: - Experience in healthcare operations managing sensitive data in a client service function - Clinical knowledge of radiology with direct clinical experience strongly preferred (RTs, RNs, MAs encouraged to apply) - Track record of personally executing detail-critical work at high accuracy standards; leadership by example - Experience building or improving SOPs, training, and quality-control processes for growing teams - Comfort using AI tools to remove manual work, with sound judgment on application to sensitive patient data - Strong data manipulation skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs as baseline) - Direct, low-ego communication; comfortable giving and receiving hard feedback - Resilience and bias for action in ambiguity - AI fluency: daily use of AI in own work, plus ability to identify and help build automations or agentic workflows that restructure team operations (not just personal productivity gains); ability to evaluate whether AI-driven processes are safe and reliable for sensitive patient data
