As a Financial Data Analyst, you will own the translation of large operational datasets into strategic financial frameworks, sitting at the intersection of FP&A and Data Engineering. You'll scale financial data infrastructure, replace legacy reporting with automated pipelines, and deliver high-impact analytics to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Data Engineering to design and optimize financial data warehouses using Snowflake
- Defining, writing, and maintaining complex SQL queries and dbt models to transform raw data into clean, audit-ready financial metrics
- Managing spend forecast and actuals data in Pigment planning tool and driving optimization through AI exploration
- Architecting automated pipelines to track key user metrics (CAC, LTV, Payback Period, IRR)
- Leveraging Python and AI to improve user cohort performance forecasting and merchant net revenue retention
- Partnering with Product and Go-to-Market teams to model financial impact of new pricing models and international expansions
- Designing self-service dashboards in Looker and HEX for executive leadership to track real-time business performance
- Acting as analytical swat team for high-stakes business cases, including corporate development and M&A modeling
You'll need 7+ years in FP&A or Strategic Finance at high-growth SaaS/Tech companies, with advanced SQL mastery (window functions, CTEs, query optimization), experience with Snowflake and AWS, proficiency with dbt and Airflow, high-level Python skills (Pandas, NumPy), expert-level BI tool creation in Looker and HEX, and deep knowledge of unit economics and corporate finance fundamentals.
This hybrid role requires in-office attendance Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at offices in Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC. Compensation ranges from $145,000–$165,000 base (DC tier) to $160,000–$180,000 (NYC tier), plus equity and comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision from Day 1, 401(k), paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, and learning stipends.
