Salary: GBP 95,000 - 130,000 / annual

You will lead data strategy and drive user engagement across Monzo's product ecosystem. The role involves setting data standards, developing experimentation best practices, and collaborating with product, engineering, design, and research teams to inform product decisions. You'll mentor other data scientists and analytics engineers, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Monzo has a strong self-serve analytics infrastructure (Looker-based) that empowers the wider business, freeing data scientists to focus on high-impact strategic questions. The company operates multiple data science squads covering Borrowing, Growth, Payments, Fincrime, Wealth, and Core domains. You'll work with cross-functional fast-moving teams to evolve the product, challenge assumptions about success metrics, and lay foundational knowledge for new features.
Key responsibilities include leading data strategy, executing experimentation frameworks, collaborating on data standards and practices, and working closely with leadership across product and engineering. The ideal candidate enjoys mentoring, thinks strategically about commercial products, is excited by new data techniques, and is opinionated about measuring success.
