ARX Robotics, a European defense tech company specializing in autonomous unmanned systems and sensors, is establishing its first local Customer Hub in Germany. You will lead this hub as the operational owner, responsible for building and running local service execution, managing the hub's operating result, and coordinating customer-side operations to maintain system availability.
You will establish the foundational infrastructure for the hub: people, workflows, facilities, routines, interfaces, and operating rhythm for both workshop and field execution. You will lead repair, inspection, maintenance, and recovery activities for complex autonomous systems, either in the workshop or forward-deployed as required, within approved maintenance concepts and authority boundaries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building a qualified and deployable field team, providing personnel development and deployment in coordination with Training & Workforce Services
- Managing local spare-parts readiness: maintaining accurate stock, distributing parts per central assortment logic, and managing stock movements and feedback
- Acting as the local operational interface for planning, incidents, service execution, follow-up, and escalation (working alongside but not replacing the Head of After Sales & Service)
- Establishing a closed field-information loop: confirming field events, interventions, configuration changes, and system status for the Field Register
- Improving in-country Operational Availability (Ao), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), stock accuracy, service quality, and the hub's P&L
- Capturing local learning and working with central verticals to develop repeatable hub standards for future locations
You will work across central technical functions, customers, Export Control, and local service personnel in a hands-on leadership capacity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Several years of experience leading a service operation, workshop, field-service team, maintenance organization, or comparable technical unit
- Experience with complex electromechanical, robotic, vehicle, or industrial systems and their repair or maintenance
- Strong operational leadership skills including workforce deployment, prioritization, customer coordination, and performance management
- Experience managing spare-parts stock, logistics interfaces, and service delivery against defined commitments
- Commercial understanding and ability to take responsibility for operational results (cost, availability, customer performance)
- Ability to work across central technical functions, customers, Export Control, and local service personnel
- High discipline in documentation, asset status, inventory accuracy, Field Register feedback, and escalation
- Calm, hands-on leadership style with ability to translate central standards into reliable local execution
Note: The company welcomes motivated candidates eager to grow into the role and develop expertise further.
