Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and digital financial platform serving over 80 million users globally, is seeking a Lead AML Product Specialist to drive product and process improvements across the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) function.
In this role, you will own and prioritize product and process improvement initiatives across AML operations, working closely with AML Operations, Investigations, Transaction Monitoring, KYC/KYB, Compliance, Data, and Engineering teams. You will identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and develop scalable solutions that embed AI and automation into relevant workstreams, with measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing existing workflows and identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve work performance
- Driving end-to-end improvements across transaction monitoring, investigations, KYC/EDD, STR/SAR preparation, sanctions screening, and case management
- Working directly with AML teams to understand operational pain points and redesign workflows
- Translating AML and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements for Engineering, Data, and AI teams
- Developing practical solutions that reduce repetitive manual work and improve quality and consistency of AML reviews
- Embedding AI-enabled tools into relevant AML workflows and ensuring adoption in day-to-day operations
- Ensuring appropriate controls, human review, escalation, and auditability are built into new processes
- Tracking outcomes such as analyst productivity, turnaround time, false-positive reduction, investigation quality, and control effectiveness
- Being accountable for demonstrating meaningful application of AI and automation across AML workstreams
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in AML, financial crime, compliance technology, product management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of AML operations, including transaction monitoring, investigations, KYC/KYB/EDD, and suspicious transaction reporting
- Experience improving or implementing AML systems, workflows, or operational processes
- Experience working with AI, automation, or data-driven solutions
- Strong product management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate AML operational needs into practical technology solutions
- Strong technology mindset and track record of using new tools to improve work performance
- Experience in crypto, payments, fintech, or financial services is preferred
