Salary: USD 95,000 - 180,000 / annual
Pearl Health is seeking an experienced Actuary to lead valuation and reserving for the company's MSSP (Medicare Shared Savings Program) ACO book. You will own the complete valuation process from model development through financial close, playing a critical role in program development and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rebuild, update, and maintain Pearl's MSSP valuation model, managing monthly and quarterly financial closes
- Set IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) reserves and deliver monthly results that feed into Pearl's financial reporting
- Reconcile prior performance year results against final CMS settlement and build forecasts for new performance years as ACO partners join
- Define how Pearl interprets MSSP data and partner with Engineering to implement that logic
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Success, Engineering, and Data Science teams to translate complexity into actionable insights

Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant actuarial experience with deep domain knowledge of MSSP offerings
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- Advanced spreadsheet analytical and modeling skills (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Strong data analysis skills leveraging SQL
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience using Python for data analysis and automation
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex financial information to non-technical audiences and executive leadership
- Experience working within an ACO environment or similar
- Track record of impact in a growing, fast-paced startup environment
- ASA or FSA actuarial designation
