As KYC/AML Analyst, you will own the onboarding function for institutional clients and partners—funds, trading firms, exchanges, custodians, and fintechs—working closely with operations, legal, and compliance teams.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct end-to-end KYC/KYB onboarding for corporate clients, individual investors, funds, SPVs, trusts, and holding companies, including multi-tier ownership structure analysis and Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) identification.
• Prepare Customer Risk Assessments using risk-based approaches and conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk accounts, complex structures, and high-risk jurisdictions, including Source of Funds and Source of Wealth verification.
• Execute real-time sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening; monitor investors ongoing and escalate suspicious activity to the MLRO.
• Conduct onchain investigations using blockchain analytics tools (Elliptic) to identify exposure to sanctioned entities, illicit activity, and high-risk counterparties.
• Lead and manage corporate onboarding applications onto third-party Centralized Exchanges, VASPs, and banking partners, ensuring institutional requirements and documentation are fulfilled.
• Maintain audit-ready compliance records and regulatory evidence repositories.
Required: 2–4 years KYC/AML, financial crime compliance, or client onboarding experience at regulated financial institutions, VASPs, crypto exchanges, or fintechs. Hands-on experience onboarding corporate and institutional entities. Working knowledge of EU and UK AML frameworks (AMLD5/6, EU AML Package, Travel Rule, FATF standards). Practical experience with screening tools (Elliptic, Chainalysis, TRM Labs). High attention to detail, audit discipline, and familiarity with CEX onboarding workflows. Fluent English; additional European language advantageous. Blockchain analytics and wallet investigation experience is a plus.
