You will join the EMEA Operations team during a critical growth phase, based in Tel Aviv (or alternatively Vilnius, Lithuania). Working closely with Compliance Operations, Financial Crime Compliance, and Operations Strategy teams, you'll ensure Airwallex meets all Know Your Customer (KYC) regulatory obligations while maintaining a seamless client onboarding experience.
As a KYC Operations Analyst, you'll serve as a front-line defense against money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions violations, fraud, and other financial crimes. You'll rapidly ramp up on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) obligations, applying meticulous attention to detail and sound business judgment to implement AML/CTF policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include: performing Client Due Diligence to evaluate customers from a compliance perspective; continuously improving streamlined processes for end-to-end onboarding from a financial crimes risk perspective; collaborating with the Compliance Team to ensure adherence to local and global policies; staying current on AML regulatory developments; and performing periodic reviews and audit support.
You are analytically sharp, process-driven, and collaborative. You excel at prioritization, dig deep to solve problems, and ask the right questions to arrive at sound, risk-based decisions. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Required: 4-5 years of process-oriented experience with meticulous attention to detail; bank or fintech background strongly preferred. Knowledge of European/Israeli AML Directives and AML/CTF regulations, principles, and typologies. Proven track record managing performance against targets using data and analytics. Proficiency in Excel, Office/G Suite, case management systems, and third-party SaaS vendors. Comfort with high-growth, globally distributed startup environments. Preferred: AML certification (ACAMS, ICA). Language requirements: if Tel Aviv-based, English and Hebrew (required), Arabic (highly desirable); if Lithuania-based, English (required), with French, German, or Spanish advantageous.
