Planet is seeking a Knowledge & AI Agent Manager to lead knowledge management and AI agent strategy for the company's satellite data platform. This hybrid role (based in Haarlem or Berlin, 3 days/week on-site) combines technical knowledge management with AI agent oversight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Planet's knowledge base: acquisition, organization, sharing, and maintenance of technical content
- Developing and implementing knowledge management strategy aligned with AI agent capabilities
- Monitoring, reviewing, and optimizing AI agent responses for accuracy and relevance
- Designing and scoping custom AI agents for customer and partner engagement
- Translating complex technical concepts into clear language for diverse audiences
- Establishing data governance and ethical AI practices
- Building relationships with engineering, product, customer success, and sales teams
- Identifying knowledge gaps and implementing corrective actions
You'll work at the intersection of technical documentation, AI/ML systems, and customer success. The role requires deep understanding of how AI agents consume knowledge bases and how to structure information for optimal agent performance and user outcomes.
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of knowledge management and technical writing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, and NLP
- Experience creating/using AI agents and familiarity with agent architectures
- Scripting language proficiency (JavaScript, Python, Perl)
- GIS application experience (ESRI, QGIS)
- Experience with geospatial data, satellite imagery, and remote sensing
- Zendesk, JIRA, or comparable ticketing system experience
- Excellent communication and technical articulation skills
