Berkeley Myles Group, part of the Banyan Software portfolio, is a provider of on-premise ERP/MIS software for SME manufacturers. The company serves 700+ customers across motorsport, aerospace, defence, and electronics, offering solutions covering MRP, job costing, stock control, works orders, and labour tracking with integrations into Sage, Xero, and Pegasus. Berkeley Myles has recently integrated Javelin and is launching a cloud relaunch in Q4 2026, marking a genuine growth phase.
This is a newly created Key Account Manager role responsible for building and owning the account management function from the ground up. You will manage and grow the entire existing customer base of 700+ SME manufacturers, focusing on retention, licence expansion, and module growth. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will play a central role in shaping how Berkeley Myles approaches account management.
Your responsibilities include owning the full customer lifecycle from adoption through expansion and advocacy/referral. You will build trusted relationships with production, operations, finance, and IT stakeholders within existing accounts, develop and execute account plans focused on retention and expansion, and lead commercial conversations on renewals and upsells. You will carry clear commercial targets for retention, renewal, and expansion revenue, reviewed regularly by the Commercial Director.
Key activities include identifying growth opportunities within accounts by spotting missing modules (accounts link, quality, shop floor, debt collection, labour and time, attendance), understanding subscription versus perpetual licensing options as the company transitions toward subscription models, and maintaining disciplined CRM and forecasting hygiene in HubSpot. You will support customers through the Javelin integration and cloud platform migration, and travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally further afield to build face-to-face relationships.
Qualifications for success:
- 3+ years' experience in software/SaaS account management, customer success, or commercial growth roles, with a proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding revenue/retention targets
- Manufacturing sector experience strongly preferred — understanding of production environments or ability to quickly learn how they operate
- Proven experience managing renewal and expansion conversations, ideally against named commercial targets
- Comfortable building trust with senior stakeholders (ops, production, finance) inside SME businesses
- Confident, organised, and structured approach to CRM and account planning
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM is a plus
- Thrives in fast-paced, results-driven, firm-but-fair environments and is happy to be measured on outcomes
- Comfortable operating independently and building something new rather than following established processes
