Zinc builds candidate screening and compliance tools for recruiters and regulated employers. We're hiring a Key Account Manager to own a portfolio of approximately 15 enterprise accounts, each with ARR starting at £100k+. This is a mixed-market role spanning industries including healthcare, education, finance, professional services, retail, and tech—unified by commercial complexity and growth potential rather than sector focus. You will operate as a top-tier account operator with full commercial ownership of your portfolio. Your responsibilities include: • Managing renewals, pricing negotiations, expansion opportunities, and risk mitigation across all accounts • Proactive account health management using live signals, usage data, and AI tooling to identify risk before churn occurs • Leading end-to-end renewal and expansion conversations, including commercial negotiation on pricing and contract terms • Building senior stakeholder relationships grounded in commercial insight and delivery • Internal advocacy and mobilization—when clients need something, you own the outcome, not just relay the problem • Championing the Zinc product with conviction, engaging thoughtfully when clients push back • Creating structured feedback loops from your portfolio into Product, Customer Support, and leadership You'll join a small, senior pod at the center of Zinc's growth. The enterprise segment is a key investment area, and you'll have direct access to leadership with real influence on how the company serves enterprise customers. You'll work with a manager who has done the role and is invested in your growth, with a visible path into more senior enterprise leadership roles as the function scales. The role emphasizes judgment and relationships over administration. You'll use data and AI tooling to spend your time where it matters most, and the pay structure rewards retention and the behaviors that drive it. Requirements: • Commercial ownership mindset: you treat your portfolio like a business, tracking ARR, renewal dates, risk signals, and expansion opportunities for every account • Internal champion capability: you own client problems end-to-end, bringing the right people together and driving resolution • Product conviction: you know the product well enough to back it, explain the why, hold the line where appropriate, and feed genuine insight back to product teams • Internal confidence and influence: you know who to talk to, what arguments move them, and when to push versus hold • Relationship depth: clients call you first because you're useful and understand their business well enough to advise • Commercial negotiation experience: you've led pricing and contract discussions end-to-end, held the line under procurement pressure, and known when to flex • Proactive thinking: flat accounts trigger curiosity and diagnostics, not complacency
