Anthropic is hiring an IT Support Engineer to join its IT Operations team in Dublin. The role combines hands-on technical support with a service mindset and process improvement focus. You'll support a fast-growing organization with a primarily macOS environment, handling day-to-day IT operations while contributing to scaling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and resolve hardware, software, networking, and account issues via ticketing system, Slack, and in-person support
- Diagnose and fix issues across macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian)
- Troubleshoot device enrollment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement
- Support access management and employee lifecycle workflows (onboarding, offboarding, reorganizations)
- Handle escalations requiring cross-team coordination
- Participate in on-call rotation for urgent after-hours issues
- Provide hands-on support for user technology, AV systems, conference rooms, and printers
- Communicate clearly with users at all technical levels

- Identify patterns in support requests and flag automation opportunities
- Streamline onboarding and high-volume operations as the company scales
- Contribute to automation efforts using scripting (Bash, Python)
- Maintain and improve device management, identity, and access systems
This is not a scripted support role. You'll have real ownership, use judgment to improve processes, and grow into more technical infrastructure work over time. The IT Operations team works closely with IT Engineering and Security.

- Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical and persistent approach
- Clear communicator who enjoys helping people solve problems
- Takes ownership of problems and follows through until resolved
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with zero-trust security concepts and endpoint security tooling
- Networking basics: DNS, DHCP, VPNs
- Experience with IT projects beyond day-to-day support (migrations, tool rollouts, process redesigns)
- Experience using AI tools to improve personal or team productivity
- Interest in developing deeper technical skills and taking on more complex systems administration over time
