Ascendis Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an IT Product Owner to join its Global IT organization and lead the digitalization of biometrics and clinical development functions. You will report to both a People Leader and the Global Head of Digitalization, working from the headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark. In this role, you will ensure that statistical programmers, biostatisticians, and clinical scientists have a coherent, evolving technology offering across applications, tools, and data. You will communicate frequently with users and clinical leadership to understand priorities for clinical development and biometrics, translating those needs for the Biometrics IT team. You will prioritize and manage the team's backlog, actively remove impediments to technology delivery, and collaborate with other IT teams to manage dependencies and align on priorities. Ascendis Pharma operates with a product-driven, lifecycle-thinking approach where long-lived teams own problems from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement. The organization combines clear leadership intent with empowered, self-organizing teams supported by both people leaders (for development) and functional leaders (for strategy and delivery). You will need a master's degree minimum and 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related environment. A background in clinical development and statistical analysis is essential. You should have hands-on experience managing and developing technology product portfolios, conducting product discovery, facilitating decisions, and driving successful delivery of digital products and platforms. Agile team experience and continuous improvement mindset are required. Key competencies include strong teamwork, innovation, curiosity, a can-do attitude, and an entrepreneurial mindset. You should be a proactive self-starter who identifies improvement opportunities and takes initiative. The role requires both pragmatic, solution-oriented thinking for the short term and long-term strategic vision. Travel is 10–25 days per year.
