As IT Operations Lead, you will manage the IT function at Hadrian's Torrance, CA headquarters, supporting executives, engineering teams, design, program teams, and visiting customers. You will lead a small team of Technicians, Analysts, and Systems Admins, balancing hands-on technical work with team leadership and strategic IT planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the IT team day-to-day at HQ, setting priorities, clearing blockers, and staying hands-on to keep the queue moving and projects landing.
- Build and evolve AI chatbot workflows, designing intents and integrating with Okta, Microsoft 365, Box, Jira, and internal systems.
- Monitor ticket flow across HQ and factory operations, identifying patterns and converting insights into automation, chatbot skills, self-service solutions, and runbooks.
- Own executive and white-glove support, ensuring fast and reliable assistance for executives, board members, and visiting VIPs.
- Lead live AV for all-hands meetings, podcasts, and events, managing conference rooms and event spaces.
- Partner with factory IT as a secondary focus, backing up site IT during rollouts, incidents, and audits while maintaining consistent identity, endpoint, and ITSM setup.
- Coach and develop team members in workflow thinking, automation, executive support, and AV operations.
- Partner with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Facilities, People Ops, and Production leaders to translate business needs into IT work.
- Own vendor and license management, including negotiation and spend tracking.
- Handle escalations and lead post-mortems on major incidents.
- Hire and screen candidates as the team grows.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in IT, with at least 2 years leading a team or major program.
- Strong background in corporate IT at a HQ or campus environment, supporting executives, engineering, and business teams.
- Hands-on experience building AI chatbot workflows and ticket deflection flows in platforms like Serval, Moveworks, or similar, with measurable impact on ticket volume reduction.
- Strong ability to analyze ticket data and identify automation, documentation, and escalation opportunities.
- Real experience with executive and white-glove support, moving fast without creating noise.
- Hands-on AV experience with conference room gear (Crestron, Q-SYS, Logitech, or similar), including setup, tuning, and troubleshooting under time pressure.
- Strong technical foundation: service desk experience, core SaaS platform administration (Okta, Microsoft 365, MDM, ITSM), and ability to ship automation or integrations.
- Track record running scalable IT functions with SLAs, on-call rotations, change management, asset lifecycle, and clean handoffs.
- Comfort partnering with factory or field IT teams as a secondary customer.
- Sharp written and verbal communication skills.
- Steady judgment in prioritizing speed versus caution.
- Ability to work on-site at Torrance HQ and surrounding locations with occasional travel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move hardware or AV gear.
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Prior software engineering, scripting, or DevOps background.
