Motive is seeking a Director of Internal Communications to lead the company's internal narrative and employee engagement strategy. This senior individual contributor role owns the full internal communications program, ensuring employees are informed, aligned, and inspired around company strategy, priorities, and culture. Key responsibilities include: - Develop and execute Motive's internal communications strategy across all channels (Slack, intranet, email, video) - Lead planning, narrative development, and production for All Hands meetings and company-wide forums, including executive talking points and delivery - Build and scale Motive's internal video communications capability, producing executive updates, milestone recaps, and storytelling content - Draft and refine executive communications, including CEO and leadership messages, briefing materials, and talking points - Partner with Corporate Communications, Legal, and People teams on crisis, issues, and high-stakes announcements to maintain internal-external alignment - Develop feedback mechanisms (surveys, pulse checks, forums) to measure employee sentiment and communications effectiveness - Serve as trusted advisor to executives and cross-functional leaders on internal messaging and change communications - Manage and mentor internal communications team members; coordinate with agencies or contractors for content production at scale - Ensure employees receive key news before or alongside external audiences, with consistent messaging across all channels The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of internal, corporate, or executive communications experience at high-growth companies, with proven expertise in All Hands production, video communications, and multi-channel employee engagement. Strong storytelling and writing skills are essential, as is experience advising C-suite leaders and supporting sensitive communications. Comfort with AI-enabled tools and sound judgment around their use is valued. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field required.
