OpenAI's Marketing team is seeking an Integrated Marketing Manager to identify and curate compelling proof points of AI's impact across people, communities, and society, transforming them into stories and programs that resonate with key audiences. You will be a builder and storyteller who uncovers extraordinary narratives about how people are using AI meaningfully. You'll seek out individuals and communities, build relationships, understand what has changed for them, and help them share their experiences authentically. Working closely with Social, Community, Communications, Creative, and Production teams, you'll shape stories collaboratively and develop integrated programs, content, and distribution strategies that amplify their reach. Key responsibilities include: - Proactively discovering people, communities, and customers using AI in meaningful ways, evaluating evidence, human significance, and audience relevance. - Partnering with Social, Community, and Communications teams from story discovery through creative development, programming, and distribution planning. - Creating integrated campaigns, recurring content series, community activations, and partnerships that extend stories beyond single assets. - Adapting stories, formats, and programs to resonate both locally and nationally, identifying when local narratives scale and how national programs become locally meaningful. - Owning end-to-end campaign leadership: briefs, creative development, production, timelines, budgets, partner coordination, launch, and optimization across social, owned, earned, experiential, community, and paid channels. - Partnering with Creative teams and agencies to produce distinctive, credible content that grounds technical concepts in human experiences. - Developing repeatable processes and networks for sourcing, prioritizing, and sharing stories at scale. - Setting clear goals for audience understanding, reach, engagement, and participation; using feedback to continuously improve. This role requires strong editorial instincts combined with integrated marketing leadership, moving fluidly from strategic vision to hands-on execution. REQUIREMENTS: - 12+ years in integrated marketing, content/editorial strategy, customer storytelling, community marketing, or related fields, with significant experience leading complex campaigns and programs. - Strong ability to identify compelling people and experiences, assess credibility and relevance, and shape clear narratives for specific audiences. - Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of building initiatives from zero to scale, creating momentum through ambiguity, and balancing strategy with execution. - Proven success connecting content, distribution, and audience participation across channels, with strong planning, production, budget, and project-management capabilities. - Creative and editorial judgment with experience shaping briefs and developing work across video, social, written stories, and live experiences. - Excellent writing, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to clarify complex ideas, build alignment, and influence at the executive level. - Deep cross-functional collaboration experience, bringing diverse perspectives together around shared objectives. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience telling stories about AI or emerging technology through concrete human experiences and demonstrated outcomes. - Background in customer advocacy, community storytelling, or ambassador programs that surface compelling voices. - Experience with documentary, editorial, or participatory storytelling involving direct work with participants from interviews through production. - Track record developing local partnerships, events, or community programs connected to broader campaigns. - Experience managing creative agencies, production partners, and campaign budgets, including scaling successful formats. - Hands-on familiarity with AI tools and curiosity about how people use them to work, learn, create, and solve problems.
