Alan is building the new standard in prevention insurance, integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a single user experience. The company serves 1M+ members across 40K+ companies and has reached €800M+ in ARR, with 1000+ employees across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada.
The Insurance Team sits at the heart of Alan's mission, bringing technical leadership and expertise on healthcare and death & disability insurance. The team works closely with data scientists, designers, engineers, and product managers to build differentiated products and provide delightful experiences at fair prices. They build and manage offers for large companies and public institutions, monitor portfolio health and risk management, manage capital, steer reinsurance strategy, and maintain relationships with insurance regulators.
As an Insurance Expert in Spain, you will monitor business and risks while helping the team understand the subtleties of healthcare and insurance. Recent missions include defining pricing and re-pricing strategies for different products, improving margin monitoring, collaborating with Key Account Managers to equip them with the right tools, and analyzing portfolio profitability to suggest action points. You will also be part of the global insurance community, contributing to organizational impact, hiring, and training across multiple countries.
You will be part of a small, talented team delivering the best experience to members in Spain, working with flexibility to be based around Spanish hubs in Madrid or Barcelona.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in health insurance
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of sector trends, pricing/repricing business decisions, and market practices
- Quantitative background (statistics, actuarial sciences) combined with experience in insurance products and business
- Ability to navigate and synthesize technical, data, business, and legal questions related to insurance
- Builder mindset with continuous focus on scaling and optimizing processes and systems
- Willingness to deeply change the insurance and healthcare industry and challenge the status quo
PREFERRED:
- Fluency in Spanish or willingness to learn
- Experience coordinating with teams based in another country
- Connections and deep understanding of the Spanish health insurance market
