As Insurance Compliance Counsel, you will be Alan's expert on member insurance compliance and consumer protection regulation across its operating markets. You will define how regulatory obligations translate into Alan's tools, processes, and products, own the compliance posture on your perimeter, and serve as the primary interface with regulators.
Key responsibilities include: defining how regulatory obligations (IDD, duty of advice, product governance, AML/CFT) translate into operational processes and product design; identifying and mitigating compliance risks; leading the structuring and continuous improvement of complaints management frameworks across France, Belgium, and Spain; serving as a key contributor to Alan's internal control system and audit processes; supporting the AML/CFT framework including second-level analysis on suspicious cases and KYC oversight; maintaining Alan's compliance roadmap and leading cross-functional compliance projects; designing mandatory regulatory training programs for Sales and Care teams; and ensuring compliance standards scale consistently as Alan enters new markets.
You will work closely with Legal, Insurance, Operations, Sales, Care, and Product teams across all markets. The role sits within the Legal Area in the Corporate Unit and involves regular interaction with regulators (ACPR, FSMA) and internal governance committees.
Required: 4+ years of compliance experience in insurance or fintech, with solid coverage of at least two regulatory domains (IDD, AML/CFT, product governance, consumer protection). Strong understanding of European insurance regulation, excellent stakeholder management, and ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
