Instacart Business (including Instacart Health) is scaling rapidly and needs a Business Insights Lead to own end-to-end reporting infrastructure, analytical frameworks, and insights delivery. This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and commercial execution, serving as the analytical partner for internal leadership and the single point of accountability for external partner reporting. In your first year, you'll build a trusted reporting system with partner-level insights and dashboards that give GTM leaders timely visibility into business performance. You'll establish an external partner reporting program with clear frameworks, reliable delivery cadences, and consistent data quality. You'll deliver deep-dive analyses that diagnose performance gaps and surface actionable growth opportunities across Instacart Business and Health. You'll implement recurring analytical programs—retention, cohort analysis, pipeline health—that track metrics critical to commercial success. You'll strengthen the analytics foundation by closing reporting gaps, building scalable self-service tools, and fostering cross-functional partnerships. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building analytical infrastructure and telling compelling stories with data—an operator who moves fluidly from SQL queries to stakeholder-ready narratives without sacrificing rigor. You bring 5+ years of analytics, business intelligence, or insights experience, with 2+ years in B2B, commercial, or GTM-facing roles. You have a proven track record owning end-to-end reporting programs from data sourcing and modeling through delivery and stakeholder communication. You're proficient in SQL and at least one BI/visualization tool (Tableau, Looker, Mode). You've built and maintained recurring, full business-line reports and analytical frameworks at scale. You communicate clearly, frame findings persuasively, and influence cross-functional partners and leadership. You're familiar with sales performance metrics, pipeline tracking, and customer retention frameworks. You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where priorities shift and business context is as important as technical skill. Preferred qualifications include experience in technology, marketplace, or B2B sales environments; familiarity with CRM data (Salesforce) and downstream reporting; experience building external partner-facing reporting programs; and a track record of converting ambiguous problem statements into clear, scalable analytical outputs.
