Formlabs is seeking an Industrial Designer to join its design team and help shape the future of 3D printing technology. The company powers innovation for over 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA, enabling users to design, prototype, and manufacture physical products faster than ever.
In this role, you will design new products from concept through production, developing compelling design concepts with clear visual communication. You'll prototype continuously—from quick mockups to refined cosmetic models—and test designs with users to translate feedback back into the design process. You'll help define and refine the hardware user experience across the entire lifecycle, from unboxing to maintenance, while creating high-quality CAD to communicate design intent. Collaboration is central: you'll work closely with Product, UI Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to develop well-balanced solutions, and assist with cosmetic specification and validation.
Formlabs offers a comprehensive benefits package including robust equity (RSUs), comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) with low-cost fund options and advisor access, generous parental leave (up to 16 weeks), tenure-based sabbatical leave (up to 6 weeks), flexible time off, on-site parking with pre-tax commuter benefits, healthy on-site meals and snacks, professional development opportunities, and culture events. You'll also enjoy unlimited 3D prints.
