Allica Bank, the UK's fastest-growing fintech, is seeking an In-life Lending Manager to join the Credit Monitoring Team. This role manages customer relationships post-loan origination and ensures robust credit oversight throughout the loan lifecycle. Key responsibilities include managing complex in-life changes to lending facilities (restructures, security changes, loan modifications), monitoring credit risk through Early Warning Indicator (EWI) alerts, and identifying emerging risks. You'll engage directly with customers to understand requests while protecting the bank's position, working closely with underwriting, relationship, and collections teams. You'll deliver customer outcomes aligned with Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, manage pre-watchlist accounts, and support remediation strategies. The role also involves building and embedding scalable processes for in-life lending, developing meaningful management information and reporting, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvements across credit and workflow. Required experience includes strong understanding of SME/commercial lending and in-life credit risk monitoring, ability to interpret early warning indicators and identify credit deterioration. You should be customer-focused yet risk-disciplined, capable of supporting customers early while escalating when required. Strong judgment, prioritization skills, and ability to maintain robust controls and documentation are essential. You'll need proven ability to build processes and drive cross-functional improvements, confident communication skills with internal stakeholders and customers, and comfort working with imperfect data while creating structure and governance. Allica Bank offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, full onboarding and development opportunities, pension contributions, discretionary bonus, private health cover, life assurance, and family-friendly policies including enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
