Salary: USD 70,000 - 85,000 / annual
ClearGov is building the modern financial operating layer for the public sector, helping US local governments and school districts plan, budget, report, and communicate their finances. The company serves over 2,000 public sector organizations with a platform covering operational budgeting, digital budget books, capital budgeting, personnel budgeting, strategic planning, capital project tracking, and financial engagement.
As an Implementation Consultant, you will lead the onboarding, activation, and adoption of ClearGov's platform for state and local government organizations. This role owns two primary areas: (1) new client implementations delivering Guided and Premium implementation services across ClearGov's full Budgeting Suite, and (2) paid professional services including packaged services, paid training, and guided workshops.
Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end implementation lifecycle from configuration and training through go-live; serving as the primary client contact throughout implementation and early adoption; delivering Guided and Premium implementation services adapted to each client's service tier; owning delivery of all paid professional services for existing clients; planning and delivering paid training in various formats (one-on-one, multi-session workshops, cohorts); driving adoption through structured meeting cadences and milestone tracking; maintaining accurate time tracking and project records; monitoring progress and adoption indicators; proactively identifying client challenges and recommending solutions; contributing to retention and renewals through positive experiences and measurable value; sharing client feedback and trends with Product, Support, and Client Success teams; meeting or exceeding implementation and services KPIs; supporting the evolution of playbooks, SOW templates, and training materials; cross-training on new products as they are added; staying current on GovTech trends and financial transparency initiatives; and traveling to client sites up to 20% as needed for kickoffs, milestones, training, and go-live events.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Client Success, Product, and Support teams and remain agile and cross-trained to deliver services across any additional products, modules, or solutions ClearGov develops. You are also expected to flexibly support cross-functional needs across Finance, Product, and Commercial as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of implementation, professional services, or client success experience leading SaaS implementations or client-facing projects
- Demonstrated success leading multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and firm deadlines
- Strong experience in scope management, risk mitigation, stakeholder management, and timeline accountability
- Experience delivering paid services against a Statement of Work (SOW), including managing budgeted hours
- Confident trainer and facilitator, comfortable leading small sessions and larger group workshops, virtually and in person
- Ability to drive projects forward while managing client expectations and internal dependencies
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Comfortable working with data imports, configurations, ERP data, and system integrations
- Adaptability to learn and deliver services across a growing, multi-product SaaS platform as new products and service tiers are introduced
