Salary: USD 160,000 - 180,000 / annual
Banyan Software, a permanent-capital software holding company founded in 2016, is seeking a Human Resources Group Leader (HRBP) to serve as a strategic HR partner across its North American operations. The company operates 120+ portfolio companies globally and has been on the Inc. 5000 list for six consecutive years.
In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders across Banyan Headquarters and North American Operating Companies to deliver strategic HR support aligned with business strategy and organizational goals. You will support M&A activity within the region, including HR due diligence and post-acquisition integration efforts such as change management, organizational design, and communications planning. You will translate business priorities into actionable HR initiatives across workforce planning, organizational design, talent development, and succession planning.
Key responsibilities include serving as a credible and trusted advisor on all HR matters, including employee relations, organizational effectiveness, leadership coaching, and cultural alignment. You will provide guidance and resolution on employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with North American employment laws, internal policies, and Banyan values. You will support the full talent lifecycle, including performance feedback, coaching, and development planning, and lead initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive work culture and enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience.
Additionally, you will analyze HR metrics and trends to develop data-driven insights and solutions that drive continuous improvement, collaborate with the Total Rewards team to ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits practices across North America, and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulatory requirements in partnership with legal and compliance teams. You will actively contribute to HR projects and the ongoing evolution of HR practices, tools, and systems, with a focus on scalability and operational excellence.
**Requirements:**
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 7 years in a Human Resources Business Partner or equivalent strategic role, supporting US-based organizations across multiple states. Experience in a multi-entity, shared services, or high-growth environment is preferred.
- Professional HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.
- Broad and deep knowledge across HR disciplines, including compensation, talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and employment law.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across multiple HR functions.
- Proven success navigating complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of discretion, diplomacy, and influence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Deep understanding of confidentiality, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance in an HR context.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems.
