xAI is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to drive operational excellence within the Human Data division, which powers model training and evaluation through high-quality human-generated data at scale. This role sits at the intersection of operations, analytics, and cross-functional strategy, focusing on the metrics, systems, and insights that enable Human Data to run efficiently. You will own a broad portfolio of operational analytics spanning workforce performance, capacity and allocation, process health, and decision-support for partners across the organization. Key responsibilities include analyzing operational metrics (capacity, utilization, quality, throughput, cycle time, cost efficiency, workforce health) to uncover trends and opportunities; building and maintaining dashboards and reporting systems that make core KPIs visible and actionable; developing planning and forecasting views to support proactive decisions; synthesizing data into clear recommendations for resource allocation and operating tradeoffs; designing and refining operational processes and escalation paths for consistency and scalability; identifying data gaps and improving data collection and definitions; and collaborating cross-functionally with operations, engineering, recruiting, finance, and other teams to integrate insights into hiring, staffing, performance management, and planning. The ideal candidate is a proactive analyst with strong quantitative skills and operational judgment, able to turn incomplete data into clear, business-oriented recommendations that improve throughput, quality, cost, and reliability. You should be comfortable with modern analytical tools, have experience building operating systems and trackers, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to influence cross-functional teams, and a track record of driving process improvement. Weekend work and travel to other xAI sites may be required.
