Salary: USD 119,400 - 179,000 / annual

Rubrik is seeking an HR Business Partner to join the People team, supporting Corporate Functions (Finance, Accounting, IT, Infosec, Legal) and Marketing. This hybrid role (3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto) sits within the HRBP team and partners closely with Senior HRBPs to deliver world-class employee and manager experiences. Key responsibilities include: • Serve as an AI-native HRBP, redesigning People workflows around AI capabilities while maintaining human judgment for employee relations, coaching, and sensitive conversations • Guide managers through employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and complex escalations • Build coaching capability in first-line and mid-level managers, helping them develop people leadership skills • Support execution of annual people programs including performance reviews, talent reviews, compensation planning, engagement initiatives, and succession planning • Use data to coach managers and identify emerging people trends and organizational health issues • Partner with Centers of Excellence (Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent & Development, DEI, People Operations) on process improvements • Translate ambiguous people/policy questions into clear guidance for managers at all levels • Support change management efforts at the team level • Leverage AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) for drafting communications, summarizing ER notes, coaching prep, and policy research, with human review before any external communication Rubrik is the Security and AI Operations Company, leading at the intersection of data protection, cyber resilience, and enterprise AI acceleration. REQUIREMENTS: • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally with generalist or HRBP exposure • Experience handling employee relations matters and coaching first-line and mid-level managers through people challenges • Foundational experience supporting performance and compensation cycles, manager coaching, or learning & development programs • Working knowledge of basic labor law concepts • Strong relationship-building skills, comfortable partnering with managers at multiple levels, peers, and cross-functional HR teams • Experience working in or with global/distributed team environments • Comfort using AI tools in daily work to boost productivity, with sharp judgment about when human review and empathy matter most • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
