You will join the People team as an HR Business Partner, serving as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders and their teams. This is a hands-on role combining organizational design, talent development, and people operations at a fast-growing, high-performance company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising senior leaders and managers on organizational, leadership, and people strategy
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle in partnership with Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and the broader People team
- Leading organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives aligned with business evolution
- Coaching managers through performance management, employee relations, and team dynamics with consistency and fairness
- Owning People work streams from conception through execution with clear recommendations and escalation judgment
- Leading and improving core programs: performance management, manager effectiveness, performance reviews, engagement, and compensation cycles
- Leveraging people data, Rippling, and AI-enabled tools to surface insights and reduce manual work
- Identifying trends and systemic challenges across teams, translating them into practical improvements to People practices and employee experience
The role is hybrid based in San Francisco with flexibility for remote work. Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner in technical or fast-moving organizations
- Proven track record advising senior leaders across multiple functions
- Strong skills in organizational design, workforce planning, and change management; comfort building solutions without established playbooks
- Experience owning performance and compensation cycles, including calibration and manager enablement
- Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals and sound judgment in employee relations
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and ability to translate people data into clear narratives for leadership
- Excellent communication and trust-building skills at all organizational levels
- Point of view on AI application beyond drafting—experience or genuine interest in using AI to strengthen performance management, coaching, and manager training for lasting capability development
