CIQ builds enterprise infrastructure powering the world's most demanding workloads, from operating systems through AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and cloud-native orchestration. The company is the founding support partner of Rocky Linux and developer of RLC Pro Enterprise Linux distributions, Fuzzball workload orchestration, Warewulf Pro cluster provisioning, and Ascender Pro automation. Customers include major enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions working in HPC, AI/ML, defense, and regulated industries. As an HPC Development Engineer, you will design, develop, and support enterprise solutions by contributing to CIQ's products and infrastructure. You'll maintain system capacity and performance, troubleshoot and improve applications and processes, and analyze current code and industry developments to design engineering solutions. Key responsibilities include: leading and participating in architecture-level discussions, planning, and implementation; researching to ensure optimal technical direction; documenting projects to share knowledge and facilitate user integration; driving proof-of-concepts and minimal viable products; supporting multiple services through system design consulting, software platform development, capacity planning, and launch reviews; collaborating with Engineering, Product, Sales teams, and open-source communities on solutions; and designing solutions to address ambiguous requirements. You will have a strong understanding of Linux and cloud infrastructure, with experience in HPC environments, containerization, orchestration systems, and distributed computing. The role involves working with sophisticated technical organizations and contributing to infrastructure that serves demanding enterprise and research workloads.
