As Health and Safety Specialist based in Porto, you will drive the development and improvement of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices across Revolut's global operations. You'll be central to refining a best-in-class management system that protects employees, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports the company's innovation culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building safe working environments with a focus on process standardization
- Leading the evolution of a global health and safety management system aligned with company growth
- Ensuring compliance with local and international health and safety regulations and translating legal obligations into clear company policies
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing offices and identifying hazards through regular site reviews
- Monitoring performance, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams as a subject-matter expert to drive projects from initiation to completion
- Reporting progress against key health and safety goals
REQUIREMENTS:
- Técnico Superior de Segurança no Trabalho qualification (Portuguese safety management certification)
- Fluency in English
- Proven experience in a safety manager role within a global organization
- In-depth understanding of health and safety principles, regulatory compliance, and EHS best practices
- Solid knowledge of risk management and assessment, particularly regarding launching new businesses in other countries
- Strategic thinking and planning skills with ability to align safety initiatives with business objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Track record of creating and implementing safety mission statements and strategic plans
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in fintech
- Experience with global employee safety and duty of care
- Proficiency with Google Sheets
- Knowledge of Javascript for automation/scripting
