Anthropic is seeking a Head of Vulnerability Disclosure & Security Community to lead the company's coordinated vulnerability disclosure program and CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) function end-to-end. This is a strategic leadership role that shapes how the AI industry handles model-level vulnerabilities.
You will own and operate Anthropic's public coordinated-disclosure jailbreak program, managing the full lifecycle from researcher submission through disclosure. As the CNA lead, you'll oversee vulnerability numbering and disclosure processes, including for open-source contexts. Your work directly informs model-release decisions and feeds into the company's safety evaluations.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining partnerships with external security researchers and threat-intelligence organizations, representing Anthropic at security conferences, and leading external technical engagement on cyber safety topics. You'll collaborate closely with the Senior Cyber Policy Lead to ensure disclosure findings inform policy and evaluations. You'll also build the function by hiring and mentoring analysts, implementing tooling, and leveraging AI-assisted triage to scale the program.
You must have hands-on experience operating or participating in coordinated vulnerability disclosure programs, coordinating multi-party disclosures involving researchers, vendors, and open-source maintainers, and managing disclosure queues with defined triage and response timelines. Experience handling sensitive or embargoed vulnerability information (TLP-marked material) is essential.
Preferred qualifications include PSIRT experience, government-party disclosure coordination, CVE authoring, security conference presentations, CNA operation, AI integration in disclosure processes, bug bounty program scaling, and established relationships in the disclosure coordination community.
This role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field. Visa sponsorship is available. The position is hybrid with an expectation of 25% office presence, with flexibility across NYC, SF, or DC locations.
