Vocca builds AI voice agents that answer patient calls, schedule and reschedule appointments, and free up healthcare staff to focus on care. The company is trusted by 15,000+ providers and has just raised a $20M Series A led by Norrsken VC (with founders of Alan and Datadog). With 50 employees today, Vocca is scaling to 60–80 hires in 2027 across France and the US, opening operations in New York. You will build and own Vocca's talent acquisition function from the ground up as a member of the COMEX (executive team). Currently, recruiting runs on freelancers; you will transition this to a permanent, scalable operation. Your core mission: Build the team and system that enables Vocca to hire 60–80 people annually at the pace and quality the business needs, across multiple countries. Key responsibilities: **Strategy & Planning:** Refine the recruiting operating model with founders; translate the business plan into a hiring plan and team budget; own both. **Build & Lead TA Team:** Hire 5–6 recruiters by end of 2027 across France and the US; determine the permanent vs. freelance mix; train recruiters to autonomy; structure the team; manage direct reports' development; build playbooks, methods, and tooling for scale. **AI in Recruiting:** Define and own Vocca's AI strategy for recruiting (sourcing to closing); test, iterate, and drop what doesn't work. **Own Hardest Hires:** Personally recruit senior and critical roles, especially in the US; help hiring managers formalize needs via scorecards; build direct sourcing channels; run processes end-to-end; know when to delegate. **Beyond Hiring:** Train and advise hiring managers on recruiting skills; build employer brand in France and the US; collaborate with People team on onboarding, offboarding, probation validation, and key people initiatives. **Expected Outcomes:** - Improved recruiting model (quality over quantity) with a hiring plan mapped to business needs by team and country. - TA team scaled from freelance setup to 4–6 permanent recruiters plus freelancers. - 60–80 hires delivered in 2027 at expected quality bar. - Scalable recruiting system: playbook, scorecards, referrals, tooling, dashboards, and tracked KPIs (time-to-hire, offer acceptance, probation validation, quality of hire). - AI strategy designed and deployed across the funnel with measurable productivity gains. - Critical roles closed by you initially; autonomous hiring managers trained and satisfied. - Employer brand and budget live and respected. **Requirements:** - 6+ years in recruiting, including building and leading a TA team in a scaling tech company; must have managed recruiters, set up playbooks and tooling, and managed direct reports. - Deployed AI tools in real recruiting workflows; opinions grounded in what worked and what failed. - Fluent in French and English; based in Paris. - Business acumen: understand how companies work, know the tech market, tie hiring to revenue and budget. - Data-driven: diagnose funnel problems with data; make strategic and operational decisions from data. - Ownership: move without being asked, stay engaged when things get hard, welcome feedback, see things through. - Leadership: sell the company and yourself; senior candidates see you as Vocca's first showcase; your team follows you. - Multi-country hiring: run recruiting across several countries simultaneously with different markets, comp standards, and candidate expectations, even when not based there. **Nice to have:** - US hiring track record. - Experience outside TA (ops, sales, consulting, or building a company). **Not a fit if:** - You want to step away from the desk once your team is in place; this role requires staying close to hardest hires. - You see TA as a support function executing requests, not a COMEX seat shaping business and hiring decisions with founders. - AI in recruiting is something you've read about more than used.
