Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Global Head of Strategic Supply Chain to architect and execute enterprise-wide sourcing and supply chain strategy. This Senior Director role oversees end-to-end commodity management across all global direct and indirect commodities—including Electrical & Microelectronics, Mechanical & Structures, Raw Materials & Energetics, Optical & Radar Systems, and Indirect Goods & Services.
You will build and lead a world-class strategic sourcing organization, establish resilient global supply ecosystems, and forge transformative supplier partnerships to support rapid prototyping, New Product Introduction (NPI), and high-rate production. Operating at the intersection of engineering innovation and operational excellence, you will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing multi-year global commodity and sourcing strategies to drive cost reduction, supply chain resilience, and technology acceleration; building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams of commodity managers and sourcing engineers across multiple global sites; serving as executive sponsor for Tier 1 suppliers and critical technology partners; partnering with Hardware and Systems Engineering to influence design-for-supply-chain and drive early supplier involvement in NPI; leading high-stakes negotiations for master service agreements, development agreements, and long-term supply agreements; proactively identifying single-source dependencies and geopolitical vulnerabilities to drive risk mitigation and dual-sourcing strategies; championing should-cost modeling and Total Cost of Ownership evaluations; and conducting regular operational and strategic reviews with C-suite leadership.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related technical discipline; 12+ years in strategic sourcing, global commodity management, or supply chain leadership in complex hardware manufacturing; 8+ years building and scaling high-performing procurement or supply chain teams; demonstrated expertise negotiating enterprise-level agreements and managing diverse commodity portfolios; proven track record managing supplier lifecycles and multi-million-dollar commercial agreements; deep understanding of NPI workflows and scaling from prototype to high-rate production; ability to travel 25-50% domestically and internationally; willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa if not already local.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; previous defense, aerospace, or automotive experience.
