Salary: USD 160,000 - 280,000 / annual
Formlabs is seeking a Head of Software Product Management to lead the company's software product strategy and execution. You will oversee all aspects of software product management, working across multiple product areas including firmware/UI for 3D printers, Preform (desktop software for print control), Dashboard (IoT platform for remote monitoring and scheduling), and Workflows (industry-specific integrations and products).
In this role, you will lead your team through the complete product lifecycle from conception through development, launch, and commercialization. You'll impact decision-making across software, hardware, and materials, collaborating with leaders from diverse disciplines. Your responsibilities include conducting user research and competitive analysis to identify market gaps, serving as a product thought leader and subject matter expert, mentoring and developing existing product managers, prioritizing hiring to build top talent, and navigating ambiguity to develop clear roadmaps for innovative products.
Formlabs' 3D printing technology powers innovation at over 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. The company is reinventing how the world manufactures physical products, and this role is central to shaping the user experience and capabilities of products used by nearly 100,000 printers in the field.
Requirements:
- Preferably computer science or embedded engineering background
- At least 5 years of experience in a product management role
- Previous experience leading a team with 5+ direct reports
- Drive processes forward with a bias for action
- Ability to enable your team to do their best work
