Aspire is a Series C fintech company building a financial operating system for global founders and growing businesses. The platform integrates banking, software, and automation to help businesses manage finances across borders. Aspire serves 50,000+ startups and is backed by Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Lightspeed.
You will be the Head of Sales for Aspire's US market launch, reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales. This is a player-coach role combining individual contribution with team leadership. You'll own the US outbound revenue target from day one while building the sales team, systems, and talent infrastructure to scale.
Key responsibilities include: carrying direct accountability for US outbound revenue targets; staying close to the field and running deals personally; building forecasting, pipeline, and reporting discipline; hiring and onboarding top-tier outbound account executives; setting performance standards and coaching reps on prospecting and full-cycle execution; defining territory, segmentation, and outbound playbooks for the US mid-market; and collaborating with Marketing, Product, and RevOps to refine ICP targeting and messaging based on field feedback.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, including time as an outbound AE carrying quota and building pipeline, plus demonstrated success building and leading sales teams with direct accountability for team revenue targets. You should have experience selling to SMB or mid-market customers (not exclusively enterprise) and background in B2B payments, spend management, or broader B2B fintech SaaS. Founder experience and high-performance competitive background are valued.
Success metrics include consistently hitting and exceeding US revenue targets quarterly, building a founding AE team that is hired, ramped, and performing at scale, developing a repeatable outbound playbook for winning SMB and mid-market founders and CFOs, and creating a genuinely engaged and accountable team culture. As the US business scales, you'll take on broader go-to-market orchestration across channels.
