You will serve as Head of Risk for BVNK's Singapore business, reporting to the VP, Group Risk & Governance. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring someone who can move fluidly between strategy and execution—from engaging with senior stakeholders and regulators to maintaining risk frameworks, risk appetite statements, RCSAs, KRIs, and entity-level risk reporting. Key responsibilities include: - Owning and overseeing the risk management framework for BVNK's Singapore entity, ensuring alignment with local regulatory expectations and the Group risk framework - Partnering with the VP, Group Risk & Governance and senior leadership to ensure effective, consistent, and scalable risk management - Establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the Singapore entity's risk appetite, policies, and supporting processes - Leading the Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA), ensuring material risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated - Developing and embedding Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other risk metrics to provide visibility of BVNK Singapore's risk profile - Providing independent second-line oversight and challenge to the business on risks associated with growth, new products, partnerships, and operational changes - Ensuring appropriate risk governance and reporting, including escalation of risks outside agreed appetite - Supporting engagement with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other regulatory stakeholders - Identifying and assessing emerging risks and regulatory developments impacting Singapore operations - Working closely with Group Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, Legal, Product, and Operations to embed effective risk management - Championing a strong risk culture and helping first-line risk owners understand their responsibilities - Contributing to the development of BVNK's Group risk frameworks, sharing local expertise The company offers competitive salary, flexible working hours with hybrid arrangements at its core, a culture built on growth-minded people, flexible holiday policies, opportunities to travel to offices worldwide, and an open, creative environment. REQUIREMENTS: - Significant experience in risk management within a regulated financial services environment, ideally in payments, e-money, fintech, banking, or digital assets - Strong knowledge of the Singapore financial services regulatory environment and experience operating within MAS-regulated businesses - Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, policies, and processes - Strong understanding of risk appetite frameworks, risk taxonomies, risk registers, risk assessment, KRIs, and risk governance - Experience providing effective second-line risk oversight and challenge within a regulated organization - Experience working with regulators and senior governance forums, with ability to communicate complex risk matters clearly and confidently - Strong experience preparing risk reporting and papers for senior management, executive committees, and/or Boards - Demonstrated ability to make sound, risk-based decisions and balance regulatory expectations with the needs of a fast-growing business - Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders when required - Comfortable operating with high degree of autonomy and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, evolving environment - Collaborative leadership style and ability to build strong risk culture across risk teams and the wider business
