Revolut is seeking a Head of Risk to lead enterprise risk management across the organization's Canadian operations. This is a VP-level role responsible for developing and implementing the entity's comprehensive risk management framework, including policies, procedures, key risk indicators, and risk appetite frameworks.
Key responsibilities include: establishing and overseeing second-line-of-defence risk functions; providing independent oversight of credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks; producing executive risk insights and board-level reporting; serving as primary liaison with local regulators and managing supervisory engagement; overseeing stress testing, capital and liquidity risk analysis, and scenario planning; implementing operational resilience and third-party risk frameworks; and collaborating with first-line teams to identify and mitigate risks.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of senior-level risk management experience in regulated banking or deposit-taking institutions, ideally as a Chief Risk Officer or Head of Risk. Required qualifications include proven expertise in setting up and managing second-line risk functions, deep understanding of prudential regulation (capital, liquidity, stress testing, governance), direct regulator interaction experience, and demonstrated ability to implement enterprise risk management frameworks and risk appetite frameworks. A technical mindset for creating and implementing solutions quickly, combined with outstanding leadership and communication skills, is essential.
Nice-to-have experience includes exposure to high-growth fintech or digital banking startups, and experience operating in matrix/group structures. The role requires English proficiency for consistent communication with global teams. Successful candidates will be employed through Deel (Revolut's EOR partner). This is an existing vacancy.
