Perk is an intelligent platform for travel and spend management, serving over 12,000 companies globally. The company combines travel bookings, expense management, invoice processing, and AI-powered automation to eliminate shadow work and boost productivity. Founded in 2015 and rebranded from TravelPerk in March 2025, Perk is a SaaS and AI technology scale-up with 1,800+ employees across 12 global offices. As Head of Privacy, you will lead and scale Perk's customer trust program and drive privacy operations strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring approximately seven years of privacy specialization experience. You'll simplify the complex regulatory landscape of privacy, AI, cybersecurity, and data governance into actionable outcomes for customers and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: - Own and evolve Perk's global privacy program, setting risk-based strategy, roadmap, policies, and controls aligned with applicable laws and customer commitments. - Contribute to the global AI governance program, working closely with security, legal, and product teams. - Advise the Chief Legal Officer, executive team, and business leaders on material privacy risks and compliance exposure. - Maintain accurate records of personal data and processing activities, including Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), data flows, classification, lawful bases, and cross-border transfer mechanisms. - Oversee operational privacy controls including retention/deletion, cookies, consent management, marketing compliance, privacy notices, and data subject rights. - Support data governance protocols and collaborate with Data, Engineering, and Security teams on governance tooling. - Conduct risk-based reviews of new personal data processing initiatives, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and AI risk assessments. - Partner with Security on privacy requirements and coordinate privacy response for data breaches and AI incidents. - Own privacy risk reporting and escalation. - Manage a team of two. You'll work cross-functionally with Security, People/HR, Procurement, Product, Engineering, Data, Revenue, and Customer Care teams. This role emphasizes action and delivery over abstract strategy, with a strong bias toward creative, commercial solutions that maintain product development velocity while ensuring best-in-class data protection standards.
