Chainalysis is seeking an experienced policy leader to build and lead the company's North America public policy strategy, reporting to the Chief Policy Officer. You will own Chainalysis' engagement with Congress, the Executive Branch, U.S. regulators, and key policy stakeholders while shaping the future of digital finance and blockchain analytics.
Key responsibilities include leading U.S. policy execution and advocacy strategy by driving engagement with policymakers, building trusted relationships, developing company positions on legislative and regulatory issues at the intersection of financial services, emerging technologies, and national security, and translating complex policy developments into actionable business strategy. You will represent Chainalysis in meetings with government officials, industry coalitions, and regulatory consultations, and prepare executive leadership for high-level government engagements.
You will serve as a critical business partner by collaborating with Product, Legal, Communications, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure U.S. policy strategy is integrated across the organization. You'll contribute to global public policy strategy, advise executives on political and regulatory developments, and work with both Chainalysis and Chainalysis Government Solutions leadership to identify engagement opportunities.
You will manage external partnerships and coalitions, including U.S. lobbyists, trade associations, and third-party coalitions. You'll attend industry events, build and maintain a robust network of policy stakeholders, participate in customer meetings to provide policy insights, and develop thought leadership content.
Required qualifications: 10+ years in U.S. government policy in fast-paced environments with demonstrated success on legislative and regulatory outcomes. Substantive experience in emerging technology, financial services, or national security policy. Deep understanding of how Congress and the Executive Branch work. Track record of actively shaping relevant policy initiatives. Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams. Ability to create executable plans with measurable outcomes. Strategic thinking with sound political instincts. Experience with lobbyists and coalition strategies. Understanding of digital assets. Exceptional communication, writing, and analytical skills.
